That's right, it's that time of the year again! For those of you who don't know, I'm turning 21 on the 26th of April, which means my wishlist game is stronger than ever (and also far larger). Wishlists are seriously my life and I tend to add as much as possible into them, just to make sure I have options in case something is out of stock by the time I go purchase it online. So today I'm sharing with you my incredibly long (84 items to be precise!) wishlist for my birthday, consisting of both clothes and beauty related items from all over the internet (Ebay, Colourpop, Topshop, Boohoo -- just to name a few). Overall, I'm looking for mostly clothes, considering I've been splurging a lot on my makeup collection thanks to this blog, so I'm stacking up on clothes versatile enough for both Spring and Summer, while also delving into the lovely world of Colourpop lippies. If we're being totally honest here, exfoliating didn't use to be a big part of my skin care routine a few months ago. I always had dry skin, which can get flaky in certain areas around winter time. I always thought it was all a matter of hydrating those areas to get rid of the dry flaky patches, until I actually read up on it and realized I might just be needing a good facial scrub every now and then. As with everything else in my collection, I tend to go for affordable drugstore products since they're the only thing in my budget. I used the L'Oreal Skin Perfection Radiance Revealing Gentle Exfoliator for months now, so I thought it was about time I shared my thoughts on it with you all. And since I recently got my hands on the Beauty Formulas  Vitamin E Exfoliating Facial Scrub, I decided to join in a comparison between these two affordable facial scrubs to help you decide on which one to try.

Starting with the L'Oreal exfoliator, it's a clear gel formula with very fine exfoliating beads. You're meant to apply in on your damp face and gently scrub everywhere, avoiding the eyes. I found it was decent enough when it came to the radiance revealing part, although it did leave a greasy feeling after using it that I didn't really like. It also felt like it dried my skin even further after each use, which isn't ideal for my skin type (mind you, it's meant for all skin types, so I suppose I can't complain too much there). I definitely agree that it's gentle, to the point where it wasn't doing enough for me, which is why I decided to buy a new exfoliator.

The Beauty Formulas one is a creamy texture, very moisturizer like, with quite noticeable exfoliating beads. They're not too big, nor too small, but they definitely pack a punch. You're meant to apply in on your damp face and gently scrub everywhere, avoiding the eyes. I think this scrub worked far better for me than the L'Oreal one. It feels moisturizing and it doesn't leave any weird feeling to the skin after use like the L'Oreal exfoliator (maybe due to it's creamy formula). Even though it claims to be a gentle exfoliator, I think that's a bold statement considering the roughness of the exfoliating beads - anyone with sensitive skin would have a hard time after using this, so I suggest you try the L'Oreal one instead. It's much less likely to damage your skin.

Overall, I think both of these are good affordable options, but they are meant for very different skin types and needs. The L'Oreal exfoliator is amazing for people with sensitive skin, if you can get past the weird feeling it leaves afterwards. It's also best for combination or oily skin, I believe, since it does dry me out a bit. As for the Beauty Formulas exfoliator, I think it's perfect for my skin type, since it both hydrates and scrubs away any flaky patches I might have. Don't be fooled by the writing on the package, this isn't gentle at all, so stay clear if you have sensitive skin or dislike harsh exfoliators.

In case you're wondering, I bought the L'Oreal exfoliator for 4.99€ at my local drugstore and I bought the Beauty Formulas exfoliator for 1€ online at Primor (and they both have 150ml).

It's been a while since I shared a beauty wishlist on Amaze In Style, so I thought now would be the perfect time to share it! It's a mix of a 2016 wishlist and a January payday wishlist, so bear with the overload of products (out of which I will probably only purchase three or four at the end of the month). My salary is by no means high enough for me to splurge in style every single month, but I do manage to buy quite a lot if I keep an eye out for bargains! As always, most of the items in here at drugstore, since that's what my budget can afford, but if you'd like to see a luxury beauty wishlist, say so and I'll work on it!

#1 - Makeup Revolution Contour Kit

This one is a no-brainer. Everyone knows pale girls need some contouring to bring back some dimension after the right shade of foundation makes us look like a blank canvas, and although I'm always eyeing the Anastasia contour kits, I know they are way out of my league at the moment. From my search at the drugstore, this seems like the nicest price/quality ratio out there.

#2 - Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

If you follow me on Twitter, then you already know I stopped by Sephora earlier this month and tried out this mascara. After a full day of shopping in an overcrowded mall, my mascara still looked on point and I completely fell in love. Now I just need to muster up the courage to spend that much on a mascara!

#3 - Essence Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

Yet another product highly raved about on many beauty blogs. I wasn't the biggest fan of winged liner in the past, considering my small eyes looked even smaller mixed in with my poor flicked wing skills. Thankfully, I have been improving with time and the latest 90's trend is definitely catching up to me - most days I only want to leave the house with some brown nude lipstick, perfect brows and a winged liner. Now I just need to buy a decent eyeliner that won't budge: fingers crossed this one does the trick!

#4 - Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Sultry

I'll admit it, I don't actually own any chubby sticks. Gasp! I know. As much as I love the idea to bits, I can't really find affordable ones at my local drugstore, so I've been putting off buying one for the longest time. Besides, most I've seen have glossy finishes and I'm not a gloss girl myself. But after I saw these beauties online, I knew I had to buy one ASAP. I ended up deciding on Sultry because it looks like the perfect MLBB winter lippie. And even though it's a little bit pricier than my usual lip product, I think it will be worth the extra money.

#5 - Real Techniques Eye Starter Kit

I also don't own any Real Techniques brushes. Double gasp! Again, I know. I'm very uptight when it comes to my budget for brushes, even though deep down I know how important they are for a flawless makeup application. Which is why I sort of made it a New Year's resolution to invest on good brushes this year, and why not start with Real Technique ones? The eye brush department is severely lacking on my collection, so hopefully I can get my hands on this set in the nearest future.

#6 - Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush and Contour Palette in Sugar and Spice

Another section of my collection that is nearly empty is the blushers. I was never really into them to begin with, but after I got my hands on this Makeup Revolution kit, I fell in love all over again. So it was only natural I tried more of their blushes next and out of all their blush and contour palettes, Sugar and Spice is probably my favourite judging by the swatches I've seen online.

#7 - Wet N Wild Mega Last Lipsticks in Rose Bud, In The Flesh and Just Peachy

Alas, my obsession with these lipsticks continues! If you thought I already owned enough of these gems, you're clearly mistaken. I won't have enough until I have them all. This time around, I want to invest in some nude shades, perfect for a transition into Spring later on in the year.

#8 - Makeup Revolution F105 Brush

And since I couldn't buy their contour kit without also getting a proper contour brush, the F105 also made its way into my lust list. All the review I saw online were positive, so I'm looking forward to see if it will work for me as well.

#9 - Real Techniques Setting Brush

Another cult favourite I have yet to get my hands on! I've been eyeing it for ages, it looks perfect for the under eye area, whether it's for blending concealer or setting that area (and it may just be me but it also looks perfect for highlighting). This is on the top of my brush wishlist and I think it will make its way into my collection as soon as payday arrives!

#10 - Makeup Revolution Flawless Matte Eyeshadow Palette

You all know I'm in love with my Beyond Flawless Palette from MUR, but my eyeshadow collection is seriously lacking some matte shades. Since I already trust the quality of MUR eyeshadows, this palette seems like the logical next step for me instead of wasting money and time buying single shadows.

#11 - Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Fair

Yes, I know, I already bought concealers recently. The truth of the matter is I'm not the biggest fan of my LA Girl concealer (shocking, I know). I'm sure I'm just applying it wrong and I'm hoping once I get my hands on the Real Techniques Setting Brush all my problems will be solved. But the Maybelline Fit Me concealer has been on my wishlist for so long, I've just been too lazy to actually go for it. Let's hope this year is the year!

#12 - L'Oreal True Match Foundation

It wouldn't be a beauty lust list without a foundation, am I right? It certainly wouldn't be my lush list without one at least. L'Oreal True Match (along with the Lumi version) are my most coveted foundations from the drugstore. When L'Oreal came out with the newer version I gave up on the idea of purchasing it altogether, because I wasn't sure if the shade I thought I was going to be in the old version (N2) would match in the new one - hence why I still haven't bought it or picked a shade to add to this post.  So please, if you have both foundations and you're an N2 in the old version, let me know which shade I should get!

I'm not a very fussy person when it comes to shower products. When you share a house with four other people, you usually just grab whatever is in the shower rather than go out of your way and ask someone else to buy a specific item you love (unless you're lucky enough your mom also loves it)! Although it's nothing fancy and girly like anything from Lush, I decided to share with you what I'm currently reaching for during shower time and my thoughts on said products. And don't get me wrong, I love bath bombs as much as the next person, but you try and convince your mother to spend those extra euros on a one time thing - it's just not going to happen.

Starting off with my shower gel, I'm currently using the Revlon Natural Honey Shower Gel. This particular range is usually in sale at the drugstore, so I've tried almost every scent possible and I have to admit, this particular one isn't my favourite. I prefer the argan oil one, the smell of that is just divine, but this one isn't bad either. Just not one for sensitive noses.

As for conditioner, I've been using the L'Oreal Paris Elvive Aginine Resist x3. Isn't that a mouthful? And yes, I did mention conditioner before shampoo, but that's because I actually condition my hair before shampooing. I've read about it on Pinterest and haven't stopped doing it ever since. I found it moisturises my hair a lot more this way, so give it a try if you suffer from split ends! Personally, I love L'Oreal conditioners, I feel like they're one of the best out there as far as drugstore goes. This one definitely helps my split ends, plus I notice it strengthens my hair a bit as well!

When it comes to shampoo, I actually prefer either Garnier or Schwarzkopf ones. Currently, I'm using this one from Garnier that is supposed to hydrate, add shine and indicated for normal hair. Now my hair is quite normal, getting slightly oilier depending on where my hormones are at, so this works just fine most of the time. Besides, Garnier shampoos have the most amazing scent ever, so I can't stop using them.

I also tend to cleanse my face and exfoliate while I shower, so I use the L'Oreal Skin Perfection Soothing Gel-cream Wash and the L'Oreal Skin Perfection Radiance Revealing Gentle Exfoliator. I always reach for the gel at the end of the day for double cleansing my skin from a day's worth of makeup, but I find that it works really well one days I don't really wear makeup but still need to clean my skin. As for the exfoliator, it's very nice and gentle, but I won't go too deep into it since I'll be posting a review/comparison post very soon!

Finally, if I feel like my hair needs it, I will use a mask. Lately, I've been reaching for the L'Oreal Elvive Hydra-Collagen Mask. It's supposed to be for curly hair, and while mine is only naturally wavy, I do feel like it brings some 'oomph' to my waves. Definitely something I'd reach for when I want to stay clear from straighteners and curlers!

Let's start with blushers. I personally love wearing them on an everyday basis, I tend to go for pinker or more peachy tones, that give me a little bit of colour but still a very natural finish. My tip for you is to start small and then add up until you're satisfied with how much colour you have on your cheeks. The worst thing you can do is try to get the perfect amount on the first try, it will most likely end up with you looking like a clown with ridiculously pink cheeks and that's not a good look on anybody. So here's some of the products I found from the drugstore that you could use for back to school.

Moving onto bronzers, this is a totally optional step, really. I like to lightly contour my face, even for everyday, just so my face doesn't look so round and it also brings some Colo to my face. However, I don't contour my nose, like I know some people do. If you feel like you need to contour your nose, go for it! However, no matter how much contouring you do, just remember to keep it light since you want it to look natural and effortless.

Hello everyone! So for today's post, as promised, I'm going to be talking about the rest of my makeup essentials for your face (minus blush, bronzer and highlighting, that will be my next post of this series). This post is all about those things that will go hand in hand with your daily foundation routine for the up and coming school year: primer, concealer and face powder. I'm going to show you some choices, all of them affordable, and hopefully you'll take something useful from this post and the tips in it. Do keep in mind that I'm not a professional, I'm just sharing what I've learned from reading beauty blogs and watching videos on Youtube, plus what I know works for me from experience -- and remember, if you're not comfortable with using one of the things I say or you feel like you don't need it in your everyday makeup routine, you can simply skip it! Makeup should be about what you need and what makes you feel great, so it's different for everybody.

First of all, we have primers. Now if you're in school, you probably want your foundation to last all day without needing to reapply it (let's be honest, nobody has the time to be reapplying foundation during breaks). For that and much more, we have been blessed with primers: you apply it before putting your foundation, after you moisturised your skin, and not only does it make your skin look a lot better than it usually looks, but it also serves as a base for your foundation to sit on, helping it last longer. There's tons of different primers and the drugstore, surprisingly, has a lot of affordable options! Just pick what suits your needs and prepare to be amazed.

Concealer will be your best friend, no matter what age you are. Although most of the products I've shown are optional, I truly think concealer is a must for school, both because it will help you cover blemishes and it also helps cover those nasty dark circles that we all end up having, sooner or later. Personally, I spent all my high school years using concealer instead of foundation, since I didn't have the money to go and buy the foundation of my dreams, nor did I know how to find it. Concealer was my best friend and, according to my friends on those days we had PE first thing in the morning and I went to school with no makeup on, it also helped me look more awake. Especially on these first few weeks where we're still trying to adjust to waking up so early, you'll definitely need to look more awake than you actually are. Whether you need help with dark circles or blemishes, there's a concealer out there perfect for you.

Powder is another optional step, but one I find needed since I do have my oily T zone to worry about. For some of you with drier skin, you may find you don't need power, so you can go and skip this step; but if you're like me and need something to keep the shininess away, then keep reading. Powders are a great way to set your foundation and concealer, some of them helping you achieve a more matte look or just to simply keep the oils from coming out after a couple of hours. There's quite a few good options from the drugstore that are worth a shot, here's some of them!

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder: the holy grail of drugstore face powders, like you probably already know from... well, everyone on the internet. This powder's reputation speaks volumes so I don't think I need to tell you anything about it, besides the fact it's amazing and that I'm currently trying to hunt it down so I can buy it in time for back to school.

L'Oreal Paris Translucide Naturally Luminous Loose Powder: this powder is really good and not pricey at all! Plus it has vitamin C, which, in case you didn't know, helps keep your skin healthy. It also gives a luminous finish. I have to say, loose powders aren't my favourite, since they can be quite messy and it's hard to take them with you to school for touch ups, but it's still a good option.

NYC Smooth Skin Pressed Face Powder: this powder is ridiculously cheap (2.99$) and I've heard it's great for girls with fair skin! It also comes with a mirror, so it's very handy to take to school with you. I personally prefer powders like this, since you can just put them on your makeup bag and use for touch ups throughout the day.
