Easter Makeup Inspiration

by - 14:23

Last year, I showed you all what products I used to create my Easter makeup look. This year, instead of just showing you products you've already seen in old favourites posts, I decided to show you a few images that will serve as inspiration to recreate during this weekend. Now, personally, I don't do anything fancy for Easter. I don't come from a very religious family, so we mostly sit home and have lunch all together or we go out to eat - either way, I need something that will look polished up but still natural.

Look #1 - Bronzed & Glowing

You all know I love me some highlighter, so a look that involves me basically covered in it in the faint hope it will feel like Summer again is always a good choice for me. Keeping the eyes very simple, only using some bronzer to define the crease and some highlighter on the inner corner, plus a truckload of mascara sounds like a great way to make my hazel eyes pop without looking too heavy for daytime. Finally, the lips can either be kept very natural and glossy or go a little bit more bold with a nice brown taupey shade like Gigi.

Look #2 - Natural Glam

If I'm feeling a little bit more high maintenance, I will go for something a bit more heavy on the eyes, while still keeping it very natural. I tend to avoid dark colours, even in the crease, instead going for bronzey and rosy shades that compliment the green in my eyes. Smoking everything out will also make sure everything looks a bit more glam while still looking smooth and blurred for a more natural effect. Of course, since the eyes are the key piece in this kind of look, a more gentle hand when it comes to highlighter and bronzer is needed, unlike in the last look. Finally, either a glossy nude lip or a MLBB matte lipstick will do, pulling everything together without taking the attention from the eyes.

Look #3 - Daytime Bombshell

And if I'm feeling extra bold on Sunday, something like this will be perfect if I'm going out for lunch with the family. The eyes will be a lot more done up, with the addition of some winged liner, plus I can go a bit more heavy hand on the bronzer to bring some colour back into my fair complexion. Lining the lips before applying the gloss will also give me that VS Angel pout so many of us want, while still looking somewhat natural for daytime.

So there you have it! I hope you can take some inspiration from this post for whatever plans you have on Sunday - and if you don't even celebrate Easter, just reach for this post whenever you need to add a little spin on your makeup game! Make sure to let me know which of the looks I should go for and which one is your favourite in the comments below.
